As much as I love the khaki/black colour combo, (in clothes as well as this blog colour scheme), wearing it and carrying a khaki backpack walking across a pedestrian crossing where there are a lot of trees will make me well camouflaged, I learned a few days ago.

A driver of a right turning car didn't see me crossing the road, the car stopped as it bumped and threw me onto my back, landing me on my backpack and arms. I thought, thank goodness I'm okay. I just got a grazed right elbow and a sore left hand.

The distraught driver did all she could to help, kindly taking me for a proper check up - x-ray, tetanus shot, and got me painkillers, extra bandages, etc. Perhaps I need to consider adding some hi-viz elements in my clothing/backpack.
